Caring For Parents: A Sanctuary for Rest & Renewal
The Caring For Parents Vision
We are Cassie and Brady Preyss, founders of Caring For Parents, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers who give so much of themselves but often struggle to find time for rest and self-care.
At our home in Asheville, NC, we have created a thermotherapy spa—a healing sanctuary where parents and caregivers can recharge, reset, and reconnect with themselves. Our space features a wood-fired sauna, an outdoor shower, a dedicated cold plunge area, and a healing modality treatment space offering a deeply restorative experience through the power of hot and cold therapy as well as healing sessions like massage therapy.
This space was born from our own journey as parents—we know firsthand how challenging it can be to carve out moments of renewal while caring for others. We also recognize the need for more accessible wellness spaces in Asheville, where many parents and caregivers could benefit from affordable, high-quality relaxation and healing services.
Through our nonprofit, we raise funds to support therapists, healers, and wellness practitioners, allowing us to offer these rejuvenating experiences on a sliding scale, making them available to all who need them.
We are deeply grateful to the friends, family, and community members who have helped bring this vision to life—whether by sharing their skills at work parties, offering financial support, or simply believing in this mission. With your help, we continue to create a space where those who nurture others can also be nurtured.

Supporting Our Mission
Our nonprofit is committed to making sauna, cold plunge, and massage therapy accessible to parents and caregivers through a sliding scale and free sessions as funding allows. To sustain this mission, we also welcome anyone to book sessions at standard rates. After covering necessary costs such as therapist fees, supplies, construction, and maintenance, all proceeds go directly to our nonprofit fund, ensuring we can continue offering affordable and free healing experiences to those in need.
